RECEIVERS THAT PASS EVERY TEST

On every RIC hearing aid, there is a little wire that connects the hearing aid body to a speaker inside a little, soft dome. This assembly is known as a receiver and while it’s small, it’s a big deal, as it sends sound to the ear. Because receivers are so important, we build ours tough and test them to make sure they can withstand real-life challenges.

  • Can withstand bending and wiggling
  • Resistant to salt and sweat
  • Can withstand a 1.5 kg pull
  • Resistant to sunlight exposure
  • Shampoo and shower proof

SOME WAXGUARDS ARE JUST BETTER
THAN OTHERS

A waxguard is a tiny yet hugely important component. It prevents earwax and moisture from entering and damaging the receiver. That’s why we have gone to extra lengths to make ours do its job optimally.

  • An extra-fine 12-hole sieve that lets sound through but keeps wax out
  • A nanocare-coated metal sheet that is moisture resistant
  • A housing that is designed to make replacement easy
